For a subset of calls from 16:24-16:33 UTC on September 24, 2025, Twilio accounts may not be able to start, stop, pause or resume a call or conference recording via the Recordings API, or be able to modify an in-progress call using the Calls API. The issue has now been resolved.
We have fully investigated the connectivity issue triggered by our automated alert, and it was determined that there it was related to a previous incident. All systems are operational.
After investigation, our engineers have confirmed that rate limiting may have occurred for some customers which created Content Templates with media. Errors and rate limits related to media uploads for the Content Template API has been resolved and is now operating normally at this time.
